About Kirkwood House

Kirkwood House is a 32 bed skilled nursing care facility that provides both short-term rehabilitative and long term care. We are certified to participate in both Medicare and Medicaid (MassHealth) programs.

The Kirkwood, a Queen Anne/Mansard home originally built in 1857 by A.J. Wright of Boston, is situated on Main St. (Route 129), overlooking the Eastern Shore of Lake Quannapowitt, and is easily accessible from Routes 128 and 95.

Kirkwood House provides a therapeutic and caring environment. Our primary clinical goal is to assist each resident to achieve their highest possible physical, mental, and psychological well-being. Our staff has been trained to offer care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and behavioral problems. Our dedicated staff excels at handling challenging situations.
